Hi Preeti,
There are certain organizational ethics which your current employer has not kept by hiding/lying with you about employee strength. I suggest you leave this orgazation once you find the better one, because your employer may not even give you any releiving certificate after one year and you will be in trouble as well.

Tanya,
There are so many domestic companies in every state who are running their small businesses with their own non-documented policies. In your case, where you worked with a consultancy firm ... am not sure how big it is but can categorize your company into the same list.
You will not find any option to fight back for your salary except requesting them again and again... of course depends upon the tolerance.
If the company stated that your performance was not good enough to pay your salary ...... forget it, they are simply not interested to pay your due amount.
Glad that you are now associated with an MNC and wish you good luck for your future ...... Let bygones be bygones... hard to digest, but it happens.

Hi,
I have been trying to switch, but as of now couldn’t get good option. If I wouldn’t get any option for another few month then what should I do, which can value add in my skills. As I mentioned it’s been only 8-9 month. How would I justify to switch from a company so early.

Dear Tanya,
a man is rich only by the knowledge he has and compassion towards others, having more papers in ones pocket doesn't mean they have it all,,,,,,,,,,, its my suggestion that instead of thinking in this way, give a new direction to your thoughts,,, try to know those ppl who are working with you. there is a possibility that you might have woven your thoughts around their life style which has caused you to feel inferior and as Mr Anil has said that you are selected there because of your skill set so it brings you and others on the same page so there is no need to feel this way,,,,just come out of your shell and start mixing in,, you may find that your perceptions were wrong and you will start feeling comfortable at your work place.
Best regards,
Abhinav Gautam.

company size doesn’t matter as long as systems are in place. Implement the best practices and systems and automatically you will be recognised. I prefer to be big fish in small pond. Pon
