A very nice and informative discussion is going on EL encashment and accumulation is going on. Let me add here my organisation rules also.
I am working in a public sector undertaking in which EL rules are as follows: -
1) One can accumulate EL upto 300 days maximum.
2) One can encash EL three times (maximum) in a year but with a leaving balance in his / her account 30 days EL.
3) Encashment rate is on the current basic pay.
4) Encashment formula = Basic Pay + DA x No. of EL
