Approach all companies (Large/Medium/Small) through company portals/job portals/freshers portals/forums/direct approach/news paper/friends/network/etc.. Target to approach 200 to 300 companies. I'm sure you'll get it.
Just go & grab, leave mindset of fresher. Share with them the passion you have in the opportunity and your learnings and what you can value add.
After all you need only one job... Just go get it... (Try smart/hard, but getting the first job will be a solid experience unless you get through campus)

Well said Priyadarshee! But, one most important thing is how effective is the CV of the fresher candidate. Still further, if power words are used in the CV, does the candidate understand properly the spirit of what he/she has said in the CV. Mere boasting in CV get smelled of very easily by the experienced interviewers.
Further, when the candidate has to face the interview, he/she must justify his/her stand with full confidence and impress the interviewer about his/her capability and career plans associated with company's progress through his/her efforts.

If queries here about summer projects, etc is any indication, most students (especially studying in second or third rung institutions and by distance learning) seem not to do their homework!! Internship or summer project work should be used as a base for seeking employment. Rather than repeating what is already available on the web, heare are some links on how to use the requirement for project reports for networking purposes.

Another observation, based on teaching students for over 20 years, is that many students forget what has been taught and when they go for interviews have no command of the subject they have studied. As a fresher, only thing the interviewer can test you on is your subject knowledge. Hence, students should take interest in the project that they do and should know what they have done inside out.

Don't give up! Few years ago I also started as an unexperienced worker. I found it hard at that time to find a good job. At every interview I appeared the interviewer told me - Wow but you don't have any expirience!
Try by interships or volunteer work at the university, make business connections, open a profil in linkedin.
Despite in which field you wanna develop your career - business, banking, HR, economics, logistics, sales etc. etc. ---> it's hard to start for everyone! Don't take it too personaly, search and apply and the results will come.
I started few years ago in a small company just to collect some experience and 9 months later I moved to another company.

While we are involved on Mid/ Sr. Level recruitment, sometimes we come across " Freshers". What I feel is there is lack of clarity in what you would like to do , and preparation accordingly. Which of course then leads to gaps in what you "can" do vs what you "want" to do. MBA being one of the most "oversold" courses now in the market adds to clutter, hype and expectations.
I feel most people want to work in large MNCs, have a "brand" job with a top salary. Which is fine, except competition for the same is also accordingly and they will hire the "best " from the "best" institutes. Appeals of "give us a chance to prove ourselves" are, frankly, superfluous since that chance one has been having practically since one was studying in 1st class .
So, while this may sound discouraging, one has to target opportunities where the competition is probably at the same level as you. And such opportunities are always there, in my opinion and experience.
Once, so long ago, when I was starting out, for various reasons - while my batchmates were with top companies earning about 3000 pm ( large sum in those days ! ) - I worked in a temp job for about 750 pm, having resigned my Campus placement job with Asian Paints. Deliberate call with a clear objective of which my employer at the time was also aware and it suited both of us fine.

first u have to make a basic in these hr activities so ground work is good if u r planning a better career in this area... hr needs lots of knowledge coz hr activities will different in different industries like an manufacturing to service insustry so first step is to learn basic things... practical knowledge plays more in hr so be patient
