Liyasunny,
Just now I have read your life comment. My suggestion is that you can start a business on your own. You ask your friends, who have not been selected in campus interview and start any industry/business that are relevant for your nature. I feel that you are not got on wrong profession, but have chosen wrong line. Dont be afraid of life or job, but go ahead with your positive thinking.
Regards.

Dear Liyasunny,

Have you decided in which you field you are interested in working. You are engineering graduate and MBA HR. Choose one segment to excel yourself.

Let us assume that you are interested in Engineering profession then continue in same organisation as HR team member

Use the opportunity of being in HR department to interact with engineering team member of the company to help them in their task. by helping your other engineer colleagues you will learn the new techniques.

Try to show the management that you have capability of engineers and you can help the organisation to grow further with your knowledge.

Try to find out the areas where you can participate as team member and discuss about new things regarding HR and engineering in group meeting. I am sure Management will notice you.

Try to demonstrate the knowledge you gained from your engineering team member in front of Sr. Management but this should be in such a manner that they should feel proud that you have extra knowledge.

Regards

In this query, you have mentioned what you have gone through and all that has happened in the past. Kindly explain to us:
1) What are your expectations from your own life and career?
2) What are you prepared to do to get what you aspire for?
Only then I will be able to help you.
Thanks,

I would also ask one thing...how six sigma is useful for an HR generalist...I m in HR generalist role having around 3.5 years of exp. (total is 5 years). I am also thinking to do a course to add value further to my profile....

Thanks in advance..

Some excellent suggestions from Octavious... But i think Sanjeev has again hit on a very important issue that Octavious did mention and that is Do you "l'sunny" know what you want to do and where you want to go in your life? I think the main issue is more personal than circumstantial or organizational.
I personally think you have let your self drift where ever life took you and you are about to do the same thing again. You have looked at a situation and identified it as a problem while every situation specially ones that are defined problems also present an opportunity. the trick is to look for that opportunity. A good example is what Octavious suggests... You are in China and you have some knowledge. Start by using that knowledge to fulfill some gap that exists there.
I think you need to do some real serious introspection and assess your self.
Cheers

Liyasunny,

You cannot learn everything by others advising you. a lot of work has to be done by your own self. Although Mr.Octavious has given you a wonderful direction you are still looking for further clarity on simple things which you could explore. This is indicating a callous attitude in you. even when you have diamond in your hand you would ask for some guidance like " what do i do with this stone" you have to explore and feel the value of your possession to enjoy and reap the benefits of the possession. You are into MIS and Project Management, even if you just try to understand the potential these activities have and the value you can contribute to your organization by getting off your seat and exploring opportunities, the organization would really appreciate your capabilities. Just by knowing and gaining knowledge you would be a burden on the organization pushing yourself into another opportunity. With this attitude of just seeking help and not working yourself upon things, you would again face a lot of questions, idle time and frustration in your career.

Get up and find assignments within your company, help yourself before asking others to help you!!! Good Luck with your own help !!

Clearly it is wrong attitude and "not caught in the wrong Job". Idling in a job is a not just a wrong Job, it is a curse. Overcome it asap.
