hey friends,
i am an shift engineer working in tree shift basis. i am forced to work in {1st week and 3th week} or[2 nd week and 4 th week} in night shift that is 14 days per month . there is any rules to break the method . this is fully management force.

Maximum working hours can be 8 hrs including the lunch time (If the organization is 5 days working)

Please let me know, if company is enforcing to their staff to carry out the works 12 hours in a day or night shift. And also company insisting to their employees in matter of sunday working at least six hours.
And also company is paying salary to their staffs on the every month of 25th.
In that case what our labour laws helps us.

I have a basic doubt. If an employee comes in the first shift (6 am - 2 pm) and continues in the second shift (2 pm - 10 pm), is it in violation of the daily working hours provision under Factories Act?
