i am working in a small company, our manager wants to review performances of employees. i am fresher to the field so,
1. can any one please tell me how to review weekly performance of employees ? --- all employees are web developers,
2. what are the criteria for review?
3. how ratings are given? from 1 to 10 points.
4. how to generate weekly performance review report ? ( if any one please attach a file or format of report / sample of report )

Before you can review an employees performance, you must first set benchmarks.
To this you should meet with each individual and discuss these benchmarks and set goals and targets, these are known as KPI's (Key Performance Indicators). During this discussion, you should also set timelines, so that the employee is aware of the next review, which can be as frequent as you wish.
The KPI's can consist of anything that you want to measure, such as timekeeping; deadlines, etc.
These KPI's should first be agreed with management.
There are plenty of formats on the net; you should look at some to see which one suits your needs best.
Then and only then can you conduct a fair and accurate review.

Before doing any review you need to understand what each team member tasks are? Then you need to analyse their roles in the team and how well they are fulfilling their roles on an weekly basis.
You can ask each team member to send you the status and you can accumulate them and create one excel sheet and discuss that with your manager and ask him if he needs the same and get more inputs from him.
