What was the purpose of that abroad trip? Was it for a business meeting or to acquire knowledge in any specialized software?
And was your resignation after returning from the abroad trip planned or just a coincidence?
If you were deputed abroad to acquire knowledge of any nature, then obviously the employer will expect your presence with them for the transformation of knowledge to the downline employees.
