Optimizing Salary Breakup Percentages for Appointment Letters: HR Guidance - CiteHR

Dear Seniors, I have been appointed as an HR in a private concern, and recently, my MD asked me for a new format of an appointment letter. I have completed it partly, but now I am in need of the salary breakups such as LTA, PF, and other allowances percentage calculation. Therefore, I need all your help to complete the task.

The salary structure has been decided based on our company environment and for employee IT exceptions. Here are some common components mentioned for your reference:

Salary Components:

- Basic: 35 to 40% of CTC
- HRA: 50% of basic
- Travel Allowance
- Children's education
- Food Allowance, etc.

Benefits:

- PF: 13.61% of basic
- ESI: 4.75% of gross not exceeding 15,000/-
- Reimbursement for IT exemption

Other Benefits:

- Gratuity: 4.8% of basic
- Mediclaim insurance, etc.
