I hope you are aware of leaves,as per my knowledge
3 types of leaves
1)casual leaves
2)sick leaves and 3) payed or earned leaves
Casual leaves will be alloted to every employee in number=12/ year i.e one for month
sick leaves also in above manner=12/ year i.e one for month.
payed or earned leaves are alloted per year is 15, i.e 1.25/month.
as per AP shops & establishment act, after completion of 240 working days only payed leaves will be alloted to an employee, i.e 240 days means excluding , sundays , holidays etc.
the other leaves can be given as company norms.
for leave purpose no weekly off's or holidays can be taken into consideration.
in matter of experience certificate only weekly off's or holidays can be taken into consideration.
I am not confident that my information will clear all your doubts, still i felt to give whatever i know.

Hello colleague,
The issue Leave largely depends on each company's regulation on who qualifies, how many days, how many types of leaves etc. However, some countries have employment regulated guidelines on vacation and some employers choose to adopt those rules.
Casual and seasonally contracted employees do not qualify for Paid leaves in most countries. The main reason being their nature of work is periodical. For permanent staff, most companies and governments have a rule that new employees can qualify for paid leave after successful completion of their probation or atleast worked for 2 months.
The formula for computation of paid leave is tricky and varies from company to company. However, in any instance, paid leave is treated as normal working days. So when computing the leave pay, this should be put into consideration. I will use 2 examples:
1. An annual salary based formula is (BP X 12) / 365 = Annual Daily Rate
Multiply the above by the Paid Leave Days to get the Leave Pay
2. Monthly Salary based on working days = BP/Monthly Working Days
Multiply the above by Paid Leave Days Balance.
Ofcourse both formulas may yield different amounts but the company is at liberty to decide what formula best fits your situation. However, the employee should never be disadvantaged!
Hope my response was helpful!

Dear friends,
in india every workmen eligible three kinds of leaves. I.e cl, sl, pl
as per the factories act, on completion of 240 days of working, every workmen eligble to avail pl leave benefits.
Normally the leave calculated based on the number of working days. One workmen eligible to get 1 day pl for every 20 working days. (this working day excludes, weekly off, holidays & other availed leave etc).
