I have recently been asked to develop an employee empowerment system and responsibility metrics. Any one has any idea how I can go about this? Thanks in advance.

Employee empowerment is a big OD initiative and it cannot be brought just by 2-3 days of training.

The way you need to have succession planning process, same way you need to have Employee Empowerment plan for least one or one and half years.

Employee empowerment depends on:

a) Leadership style of individual
b) Organisation culture
c) Present level of delegation

There are six levels of empowerment. Every manager needs to assess the present level of empowerment of his/her subordinates and raise that subordinate to the next level. Ultimate level is "Level VI" for all the employees. However, it is much easier said than done.

For my for client in Dubai, I have given complete kit of "employee empowerment". It is one year plan.

If you wish, then I will prepare similar plan for you also. To prepare plan for your company, I need to study your company.
