If an employee is absent from work without taking permission or inform Management, what is the action to be taken according to Bangladesh Labor Code 2006? Can we terminate him if he does the practice regularly? can we ad such clause in appointment letter? If any one knows the answer please help me.

Dear Kegotumi
Please check Chapter IX Working Hours and Leave Chapter X Wages and Payment in Bangladesh Labour Act 2006 to have clear idea about your querry.
If any worker who becomes absent for more than 5 times and if you issued warning letter and awarded any punishment for his absence for more than 3 times then on next time after conducting proper inquiry you can terminate the employee. For which you need not to give the details in Appointment letter. You can add these all clause in your company's Discipline Policy under HR Manual.
Hope I have clarified your querry. In case any further querry do not hesitate to ask in this forum.
All the best.

Dear Mr. Bhaskar
Thank you so much for your sharing your knowledge. I went through Chapter IX and X of Labor code 2006 but could not find the answers that you mentioned. I am confused that Am I using the right book or not? I have downloaded it from Bangladesh Ministry of Law websites. Can you please show me the link or mention the Section or sub section where I really can get clear evidence about my queries. That would be really helpful for me.
thanks again for your answer. hope to receive comments from you.
Thanks & Regards
