Hi all,
How should I negotiate Salary during an Interview? What would be the best way to get Salary hike, if i am going to select by a company which can offer a package 50- 70% more then my present package. Should i mention my package more than what i am getting? or i should simply tell them honestly what is my present package? But in this condition i will not be able to negotiate, I may be offered hike 12-20% instead of 50-60%.
Suggest me what would be the reight and best way...

Hi,
I believe salary negotiation is necessary during interview. We should ask for 30-40% more than our present salary.
When during interview, if we say more than our present salary its not proper as they ask for salary slip during our 1st or 2nd interview
Salary negotiation is must thatz my belief.

Hi Pushpendra,
Pls dont make a mistake of giving false information. If u think u r underpais by ur current employer & u deserve more as per market standars then try using ur negotiating skills with ur future recruiter. Prove ur skills in the interview & demand salary. Never take a hike on false info. It may create probs in future. Incase ur future employer discovers that u had given away wrong salary details, it may ruin ur career.
I have seen such cases of false info & people getting into a problem.
Think twice before taking a step.

If an employee is under probation, and he is absenting from the last one month, can we send him notice for unauthorised absence. If so, what will be the next course of action. Can we terminate his services by sending a letter or can we stop taking his name in our Form-12 (attendance register). Kindly reply

Cn anybody help me out in doing salary negotiation with HR. Because most of the times I have stuck in between, as a result I have to agreed on what they offering me. For instance, a hr simply say that we can't give you that much hike, however I never asked for irrelevant figure, but hr says we don't have that much budget. So my question is that what should I answer them in that case. Please help

To directly answer the question:
a. Never lie - since they will usually ask you for your last pay-slip, and then definitely reject you once your lies are caught.
b. For salary negotiation, usually, wait for till the end of the technical interview, since by then you have convinced the company that you are the right person for the job. That's the best time for you to negotiate
c. Having another job offer in hand helps since you can afford to negotiate well and drive a hard bargain. Also, you have another offer in case the negotiation fails.
