Hi, I have been interviewed in a big MNC for engineer post, gave a telephonic and F2F rounds of interview, during the HR round, they said that they will do the salary negotiation on this day(after weekend), day came, they asked to fill the candidate from and sent them back, did, later after that day, i checked onto them, to know the status, they replied that "Hi..few interviews are already lined up,will confirm you after the festival"(as the festival holidays were of 4 days after the coming day).
Now this position needs to filled in a very short notice, like in 15 days. that is why i took a follow up.
I need to know whether the company is really going to offer me,or just an excuse?

Dear friend,
The recruitment process in MNCs is long drawn process. Many persons are involved in this. In the chain, suppose if person is on away, the matter remains pending at that level. Secondly, though they have told that the vacancy needs to be filled in fifteen days, they probably may not have critical need to to do that.
Lastly, it is typical habit of MNCs, Indian or otherwise, to drag the matter or procrastinate, create emergency like situation and then act hurriedly. This might happen in your case too. Therefore, wait or show patience this advice can only be given.
Thanks,

Why can't you explain what actually happened till the day you received this email. Just send a followup mail to them asking whether you are selected or not. Else contact if they have given any contact details.
