Availing leave prior to the delivery will affect my maternity benefits like maternity leave and salary?

I am taking treatment in a private hospital for my pregnancy. My due date is in the first week of June / last week of may. But i have started availing leave from April 16th onwards. availing leave prior to the delivery will affect my maternity benefits like maternity leave and salary??? please help me.

Hi Vimal, You can avail leave 8 weeks prior to expect delivery date. Hope you have informed your employer in this regard.
