Dear Archita,

If the employee is taking some equipment for official purposes, the following is required to be done:

a) Fill up the loan card from the employee. Include the details like type of equipment, equipment serial No, quantity of fuel in the fuel tank, accessories used to run the equipment etc in the loan card. Secondly, loan card also should have details of the employee to whom this equipment is loaned out. Take signature of the GM/VP on this loan card. The employee who takes over the equipment, must ensure that the equipment is in serviceable condition and certify accordingly.

b) Secondly, your security department need to prepare returnable gate pass for this equipment. Returnable gate pass is prepared based on the loan card signed by the GM/VP.

c) GM/VP need to give instructions on handling of the equipment. It is the sole responsibility of the employee to take care of the safety and security of the equipment. Employee is liable for disciplinary action if it is found that damage to the equipment was caused because of the negligence of the employee.

d) For the security purposes, employee may be provided with steel chain and lock so that employee can lock it while taking rest at waiting room of railway station etc.

e) If the equipment is quite costly, then you may do insurance of the equipment. Do the separate travel insurance of the equipment.

f) On returning from the outstation duties, employee must do the proper handing/taking over of the equipment. The employee who hands over the equipment, must ensure that the equipment is in serviceable condition.

g) The same loan card can be used for taking over of the equipment. Make separate file to preserve the old loan cards. Preserve these at least for year or so.

Ok...

You should have posted this message in that thread, rather than here. Please read the link given in that thread. Most of the seniors are life-long learners, like me who has learnt from my students. No need to feel sorry. I am not getting hyped, only trying to get things clarified for the benefit of seniors who need to learn from juniors. As a Moderator, I tried to move these posts to the other thread but could not.

Dear Archita,
Just I go through this thread I didn’t find any incorrect reply’s.
Even If you received any incorrect reply’s on your thread nothing wrong with that. Just you will take the advice/reply which one is most suit for your query this is what we call ‘’common sense’’ I should remember this to you I am working as a EHS professional on July 2010 had registered or entered in citehr at the time of 2010 I am nothing in my field because of my citehr seniors and moderator guidelines I improved myself will say 100% it’s all for citehr members. Finally I placed in US company it’s all happened for citehr members.
I hope you will participate actively in our forum in future don’t miss it archu its one of the best site I ever seen FOR ‘’SHARING KNOWLEDGE’’.
Awaiting for your comments. . .
Note: Archita first you should know how to respect the seniors I hope you will get my point DON’T TAKE IN WRONG WAY///.

Then what is the difference between you and them???? I will give the live example to you just check my reply’s in citehr both ‘’SAFETY AND HEALTH OF EMPLOYESS & HR HUMOR’’ thread you will see the difference it’s fully depend upon our attitude.
Archu I learned one thing from HR professionals through this forum which is help to change my attitude during my training session ‘’REQUEST’’ instead of ORDER and ADVISE; the way which you exposed to others probably you get the same.
Seniors and Juniors whoever it is everybody have Strength and Weakness so try to learn something instead of blame seniors it’s not advice its ‘’REQUEST’’ Madam.
“Consider how hard it is to change yourself and you'll understand what little chance you have in trying to change others.”
But I appreciate your bravery to wrote this in our forum.
Keep on sharing and gaining your knowledge; Be a good example of your juniors Madam in our forum. . .

Dear Archita,

Please take things simple, don't be so serious. You may ask whatever questions you feel need clarifications. That's the only way to learn. It's better to ask 1000 dumb questions rather than committing a dumb mistake. You will have several replies to your query because this is a common site and the members there are simple human beings like you and me. They may have their unique way of clarifying things. Why everyone speak so importantly about balance. Why Buddha taught about Middle Path? Because, there are two sides to everything in the world. So, take the most preferable response from the postings and move on. Take this also as a learning.

Learning happens when one's mind is open to positives and negatives. Firstly, there is nothing constant as positive and negative. It's a relative term to the mental mode of a person who reads a message. That is why different people respond differently to a single situation. Stephen Covey in his book Seven Habits of Highly Effective People says, The Thing That Hurt Us Is Not What Others Do To Us. It Is Our Chosen Response To What Others Do To Us. So, instead of showing mirrors to others, it shall be always better to see oneself in the mirror.

Be cheerful and try to be in Madhyam (the middle path)
