We are a pharmaceutical marketing company. We want to set leave rules for our employees. Kindly share different heads-off leave rules, how many leaves can be taken or carried forward, which calendar month it should start, and how many maximum leaves can be encashed.

Leaves as applicable pharma companies shall be as per the following Acts.
1. For employees in the pharmaceutical manufacturing factory should be as per Factories Act
2. The employees engaged in Accounting activities, HR, administration and other in the office situated outside the factory premises shall be as per the Shops and Commercial Establishments Act. Offices located in different states of the same organisation shall have different leaves.
3. Those who are working as Sales promotion Officers, Medical Representatives, shall get leaves as per Sales Promotion Employees (Conditions of Service) Act.
In short in a pharma industry, there can be three types of leaves, and as uch leave policy should reflect these mandatory provisions under the above mentioned Acts.
