The team building activities are the activities that will build a positive work environment between the employees and the management as well as between the employees. The team building activities are conducted to enhance the relations between the employees and also to build a positive relationship between the employee and the firm. The firm conducts such activities to do something different from the routine, to create a relaxed atmosphere at the workplace. Team building activities also create different qualities among the employees about whatever task has been assigned to them, they should complete it in a team. It shows how an employee behaves during a team activity. Leadership quality is majorly observed over here. The secret to building a great team is to recognize that the whole must be greater than the sum of its parts. Overall, team building in the workplace enables better communication, better relationships and ultimately increases productivity.

Go for some creative activity that will force the employees to think something out of their normal routine. Team building increases the trust factor among the employees. Design the activity - Now, this is the most important part of the activity. It is a very fun part to decide which activity should be performed. Don't take lengthy activities. Identify success measures - While conducting the activity, make sure that everyone will get an equal chance to come forward and show-case. There should not be a hierarchy in performing the activities. Anybody can be called first. Rather, keep at the center such employees that are not generally noticed. It will boost their confidence. Make the activity fun. Fun moments will increase the interest of the team members. If it is noticed that all are enjoying your activity then definitely the activity has been successfully completed.

Winner declaration - Now, most important step, winner’s declaration. Always conduct activities as a minor competition so that there will be a little positive fight between the employees. Arrange for some small gift vouchers for the winners. Rewarding the employees will make them curious about the next activity to be performed.

Consolidate the results - It involves the summation of the entire task that has been performed. Don't just miserably conclude the activities. Check for whether you have achieved the expected goals. Also, whether employees are satisfied with the activity conducted. Ask for small feedback from them. Also, ask them for further suggestions. Check if all the candidates have actively participated. And, if any of your goals is not satisfied, then look for some additional things to be done for the next activity.
Take a proper follow-up of the activity. Note the various challenges you encountered while conducting the activity. Look into the matter that if any of the employees are not being noticed. If any of such scenarios is being noticed, then it is to be majorly corrected. Keep in mind to bring forward such employees. Look for the overlaps and the contradiction that you need to merge for the next time. The results of the team building activities will not be limited till the activity session; it will give the company the employees which they wanted for various positions. The activity will show the team that who has leadership quality, who has artistic skills, who has more presence of mind, etc.
