Dear All,
I am working in a firm size less than 10. We are planning to expand and so now I require a good leave policy.Currently we used to get 1 paid leave every month added in our salary. There are no fix holidays and leave policy.
Can someone please guide me with a good leave policy.

Dear Zalak,
Leave policy should be within satisfy provisions of either Shops and Establishment Act or Factories Act of your state (hope it is Gujrat). First find out provisions of that act and design the policy.
You can give more but less number of days of leave.
Secondly, you also have to follow provisions of National Holidays Act of your state and give minimum 10 closed holidays per calendar year.

Dear Zaluk,
Please look into the leave policy.
Total leaves 25 days apart from list of holidays.
5 days are casual leaves,
If any employee joined in midst of year pls go through below calculation.
Ex: if he/she joined in april month,
=10/12*no.of working months in the year.
5 days are sick leaves,
If any employee joined in midst of year, the above calculation will effect on the same.
15 days are privilege leaves
Every employee has to work 240 days in last year then he is able to apply the PL in present year (for every 20 days he can get 1 PL)
The employee en cash the leaves, we do not have this kind of benefit in CL/SL.
