Dear All, I am an MBA in HR having five years of experience in HR. Now I want to pursue an MSW in labour management of industrial relations or personnel management of labour law. I have searched on the internet. But was not able to find out enough stuff. Or should I go for PG Diploma in labour law? But I will have to do it through correspondence or private. Please suggest some good universities or institutes. Waiting for your inputs.

Dear Pooja,
Only at Chennai you can do MSW course through correspondance. Nowhere else you will find that course. Since you have already with MBA go for some diploma courses in labor laws

Think whether personal management or HR?
You are better advised to do labor law. if HR again core-generalists or staffing and recruitment.
i suggest core HR with labor law would be a good options.

  • You are MBA-HR and having 5 yrs. experience. I do not see any need to add any more Degree or Diploma after MBA degree.
  • By merely adding Degree or Diploma to your qualification, your career is not going to change anyway.
  • In case you are not exposed to Labour Laws in your 5 years experience then better study all important laws on your own. In case you take some interest and initiative, you will learn more as compared to acquiring mere Degree or Diploma.
