I have started a new Hr consultancy . Can somebody advice me as to how to manage the daily operations w.r.t
(a) Mananging my database
(b) Finding the right candidates from the existing database that I have.
(c) Making sure that I dont call the same candidates again and again.

Hi,
I feel geting a software at such an initial stage of business would be a costly affair. I would say, churn out resumes from jobsites, take references for each individual you talk to. Maintain folders skill set wise and excel attached to each folder which should have each and every detail of the candidate;for eg: name, contact no.,email id, qalification, years of experience, current company, current CTC with net and gross etc etc.

Hi Manoj,
While operating a new consultancy, you should be careful in terms of the cost which would incur during this process. Cost has to be minimized. And at this point of time, I dont think so that you seriously need a software to manager this data.
As you are in the initial stage, you could use EXCEL which is the best one to manage the data. Using this you can keep the data of the candidates as well you check duplicacy internally before you could call the respective candidates.
You can create separate folders for the skills that you have been sourcing for so that you can peddle the resumes accordingly if some new requirement comes your way.
And down the line, once you succeed in your business, you can definitely go ahead and opt for a software.
