Hey if at all you wanna switch your career from Recruitment to HR generalist then you have to be strong in Generalist part. for that you may have to learn a lot. If required you can attend some courses or you will get sufficient knowledge in this portal also. there are many good books to refer
SAP will add weightage to the career but for that you should have good knowledge into HR generalist

Dear Rajlaxmi,
What is your highest qualification?
If MBA, then you should know what are the activity or responsibilities involved in HR Operations.
There is no need to do any course.
If company is using SAP Software, then internal training will be provided to you.

Yes if you are a MBA in HR you don't need to do any course for involving your self in HR OPERATIONS . Doing different HR courses definitely help you in developing your self and enhancing your professional skills . In HR Operations you need to understand the processes and processes are also in many books you have studied during your masters degree tenure . However all the companies doing same practices in their companies according to their business models, organizational cultures.
