Dear Members, Recently, one employee's salary was kept on hold due to an issue in PF Aadhaar verification so it affect his PF contribution. In this, does employer have right to hold salary for above said reason it is valid while responding or facing issues in connection with it.

The salary of an employee cannot be kept on hold on such grounds, but many organisation due this to force the employee to submit the proofs to verify their adhar and seed it with PF.
PF has made it mandatory to do so that we can remit the contributions.
Employers think that its the only way to force the employee to submit proofs quickly.
As per law, we employers cannot hold the salary of the employee.
