Suppose, if an employee's salary is on hold for 2 months, and we are paying salary for 3 months altogether, what amount of Professional tax should we deduct if his P.Tax per month is Rs. 200. Should we deduct Rs. 200 or Rs. 600? Please help.

Dear Ritu Roy,
The salary is accrued by the employee after working for three months, not for one month. Whether you pay it together for three months or for one year (which you cannot do legally), you have to pay P.Tax based on the monthly salary.
