A Handbook is a guide to a newly joined employee, which clearly outlines the policies and programmes evolved and implemented by the company towards the welfare of the employees. The policies are "evolved" which means that it is the collective wisdom of the management gained over a period of years. It also talks about the rules and regulations that govern over the employees while working in that company.
It is impractical to share the content of the handbook, as HR practises vary from company to company. But here is an index which can help you to create one. Pls note that this is in the alphabetical order, where as within the Handbook, it need not be necessarily in that order
