I would like to know the vehicle reimbursement rates for business travel in Delhi/NCR. If an employee goes for official work, what should be the reimbursement rate per kilometer for a two-wheeler and a four-wheeler.

Dear Preeti,
What you are asking is "Reimbursement of the Transportation Charges" and not "Vehicle Reimbursement Charges". Before fixing the charges, I recommend you fix the eligibility to hire the vehicle. For example, first, decide which designation(s) are authorized to hire:
a) City bus or Metro only
b) Auto Rickshaw or the City Bus or the Metro
c) Mini car or (a) & (b) mentioned above
d) Prime Sedan (a) to (c) mentioned above
e) Prime SUV or (a) to (d) mentioned above
The claimant of the transportation charges must submit the claim along with the receipt or ticket within the authorization limit. The fixation of limits will help you as you don't have to change the transportation charges limits as and when the petrol/diesel charges go up and down.
Thanks,
Dinesh Divekar

Thank you for your reply, Mr. Divekar. I want to know the reimbursement amount if a personal vehicle is used for business travel. For example, in my previous organization, we used to provide:
- 2 Wheeler (Bike): Rs. 4/Km
- 4 Wheeler (Car): Rs. 6/Km
I want to create a travel policy for my current organization and understand the current market rate of reimbursement per kilometer.
