I'm looking for some good value-added skills which I can learn from the internet by being at home to enhance myself. Can anyone tell me a good site that can help me out or provide a list of value-added skills that I can learn at home to enhance myself for future jobs? I am basically from the HR field.
Please do revert if anyone can help me regarding this?
Thanks

Dear Sanchii,
I appreciate your learning attitude. You may not get immediate rewards of learning, but you will get the rewards surely.
There are a number of videos on Youtube. You can learn business etiquette, listening skills, questioning skills, negotiation skills, and interpersonal skills by watching the videos. A lot of material is available on these subjects on the net. Whatever type of job you do, all these skills are essential for one's professional growth.
Now you are not a student. You are a professional. Therefore, this time your reading will be from a professional point of view. As you start reading chapter after chapter, you need to recollect the instances that happened in past employment and find out if you can relate it to the theory of communication, motivation, leadership, and so on. Many MBAs fail because they do not establish a relationship between what's happening around them and the theory that they had/have learned.
Have you done an MBA? If yes, then it is time for you to refer to book(s) on Organisational Behaviour. If you are not an MBA, then you may buy any book on "Organisational Behaviour". No need to buy a brand new book. Even a second hand will do. In addition to this, you may read the following books:
a) "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen Covey
b) "You Can Win" by Shiv Khera
c) "What Got You Here, Will Not Get You There" by Marshall Goldsmith
All the best!
