Hello, To my knowledge, only company will have details of employees' PF number. It cannot be viewed from any link. So you need to check only with your organization. Thanks, S.Narasimhan

Hi Experts, I was working with Birlasoft Limited Hyderabad from Aug 2006 to Nov 2007 and had gone abroad for some reasons. I applied for PF withdrawal by sending the necessary Forms 19 and 10C, revenue stamp affixed, and a canceled cheque of my SBI Savings bank account and submitted it to my head office in Noida in June 2011. The HR Dept of Birlasoft has submitted my forms to the PF Office; however, I have no clue about the status and whether I will ever get my money. The internet status also does not show any positive result, only a pending status. Whom should I contact now, or should I send an RTI Form to the Dept of PF? Kindly advise. Regards, Rosalin

I've spoken to my HR, and they have given me the details of the Zone of PF Office where my documents have been submitted. I also have my PF account details. The Govt site of PF helps to track the current status by entering one's PF Number and the PF zone.
My only concern here is: The canceled cheque that I've submitted has "Account Number" printed on it and not the "Name" as it is an Instant Kit given during opening the account. I inquired about this with my HR, who said that the cheque will be "Account payee" with my name. So, this should not pose a problem. I'm worried about what should be done next as the HR people have duly submitted and are asking me to wait. The last option that I would resort to now is "RTI."

Hi San,
For the transfer of PF, you might have filled Form-13. Along with that, you have to attach Form-10, i.e., the leaving form that your previous company may have filed in the PF office, and Form-5, i.e., the joining form of your current company. You can obtain copies of both of these from the HR department of the respective companies.
To check the status, visit the EPFO site and check your current status by entering your PF number.

Miss Bhavna has rightly suggested. If one has exhausted that much action, then one can file an RTI application on a plain paper, along with a fee of Rs. 10/- before the regional EPF office. They are bound to reply within 30 days. All the best.
