I have just completed PGDBA from SCDL, Symbiosis. I have worked in BPO operations for 4 years. However, I don't have real-time HR experience. I have recently joined the upcoming NGO RENEW, who support underprivileged women and children. They have an administration. I have been tasked with setting up proper documentation for the HR department and creating the best policies for the organization. I am unsure how to create the policies separately. I would appreciate any help that anyone could provide. I would be truly grateful if someone could offer a complete PPT template.

Hey Naina,
Have you tried searching this forum? There is a research tab at the top. Just fill in your keywords, and you will find lots of data and information on HR policies. The PowerPoint presentations are all available here, but make sure that what works for other companies may not work for yours. So, don't just copy and paste; do benchmarking and then design policies.
Try it out! After reading the required material, post your specific queries here, and we will all help you out.

Dear Naina,
Please create a service rule according to the Labour and Employment Act 2007. You can find a sample of the service rule on the labor website. Once you have completed this task, kindly review the CitiHR platform and develop each policy one by one.
Good luck.

Dear Naina,
First and foremost, you need to create the HR service book. Additionally, you could develop an HR manual that encompasses all the HR processes essential for any HR role. Moreover, consider outlining both long-term and short-term HR plans.

Hi Naina,
I agree with all the above members. First, set up a clear HR vision and mission that aligns with that of the company. Then, do a simple rough work on a piece of paper outlining all the policies you would require, such as Employee Health and Safety Policy, Working Hours/Shift Hours Policy, Exit/Separation Policy, Absconding Policy, Joining/Induction Policy, Dress Code Policy, ID Card Policy, FnF Policy, Late Working/Holiday Working/OT Policy, Leave Policy, Referral Policy (if applicable), Rewards & Recognition Policy, Travel Policy, ID Card Policy, Welfare Policy, etc. You can then start writing the policies that are necessary or applicable.
Later, you can begin working on the process documents by defining the process flow for each topic. Following that, you will be able to work on the Employee Relations Policy and Employee Handbook/HR Manual more easily.
If you need any more assistance or require any specific formats, please feel free to reach out to me.
