I have joined a manufacturing concern as an HR executive. My background is in MBA production, and I have 5 months of experience from a consultancy. I want to know the responsibilities that I have in my current organization. It currently consists of 50 people. Please suggest the activities I need to undertake apart from pay slip preparation.

JO1: Implement & monitor various HR initiatives and activities.

DELIVERABLES:
D01: Responsibility includes employment, compensation, labor laws and training and development.
D02: Interview job applicants, review applications/ resumes, evaluate applicant’s skill and make recommendations regarding applicant’s qualifications.
D03: Develop and maintain relationship with employment agencies and other recruitment sources.
D04: Prepare and maintain job documentation, and job evaluation system in coordination with the respective department and the authority.

D06: Prepare process and distribute payroll.
D07: Design and conduct the induction and employee orientation process.

I really don't know what kind of work HR officers do in a contractor firm. I only know about PF and not much else. I only know how to calculate PF - 12% on the basic salary, EPF at 8.33% calculated on the basic, and FPF at 3.67% calculated on the basic. That's it. But I want to know more about the HR office.
