Dear All,

Thanks for liking my previous article on Self Development. Here is another outstanding article on people development. It provides a new strategy and a new perspective on the development of competency through training. This approach is effective and holistic as it is based on Directive Communication Psychology. It's a must-read.

This concept is more for progressive organizations, companies with a more "traditional" approach to T & D will not understand it and its benefits

This is quite a unique concept. I can see why you say only progressive companies would do this. This type of structure works very well with companies that have a clear vision. If they do not, it probably will be difficult.

I think more and more organizations in today's competitive world need to be progressive and futuristic in their approach. That's what innovation is all about. Training and development is a very important area that should work in alignment with both the current organization's needs as well as the progressive world's needs.

A very interesting and apt article! Thank you and Arthur Carmazzi for that. I think every company in the world would envision themselves as progressive. There are very few that would venture so far as to say we are traditionalist and would like to keep it as such. Progressive or not, competency development in your workforce is a goal that no organization would choose to ignore, and most would bend over backwards to achieve maximum competency from their people.

I think where most of the idea is lost is in the translation: organizations doing the same thing over and over again with a different packaging but the content remaining the same. This paper helps identify how to do T & D the right way and not just fluff it up again. Thanks Sonali...Keep 'em coming!

Thank you for sparking a wonderful new insight into how behavior-oriented programs can be made more purposeful. As an L&D professional, I have always wondered how we can transfer learning to the workplace. I used to feel a kind of void after the euphoria of the program wanes down – a void emanating from the obvious doubt as to whether anything learned in the classroom would really trickle down to actual work situations. This article certainly gives a new perspective on this aspect, and I am sure that only giving an earnest try can make this approach work.

Bharath, Sumanth, Athena, and R.K... I completely agree with you all. Learning and Development definitely need transformation. I feel all of us who are a part of the L&D team should take this on.

Learning occurs through experience, through reflection, through conceptualization, and through application. And I believe it also happens through sharing.

Hi Sonali!

Thanks for sharing such a nice article by the great Arthur Carmaazi.

Today, I want to share something that I have been wanting to express for a long time:

I have noticed that many people in India refer to themselves as Corporate trainers, Soft skill trainers, or Motivational Trainers, often labeling themselves as Motivational or Leadership Gurus. However, when you inquire about their training proposals, they often present existing, subpar materials with lackluster presentations and content. What's even worse is that they tend to offer their training services at any price.

It is a fact that knowledge is acquired through education and experience, from family, schools, colleges, and workplaces. However, true success depends on wisdom and attitude, qualities that are cultivated through life experiences rather than from books. This is where trainers like us come in. We understand the complexity of the human mind and believe in the vast potential within each individual. Our research focuses on bringing out the best in people, not only helping them succeed in their personal and professional lives but also guiding them to appreciate the value of human existence, their purpose in this world, their identity, and much more.

Quality training at regular intervals is essential, just as we eat to replenish our energy throughout the day. Regular training sessions can have a profound impact on an individual, both personally and professionally.

Although India has immense training potential, the industry requires better organization. A competent trainer who knows how to stimulate your mind, unleash your potential using proven methodologies, should be respected and adequately compensated. They are akin to experienced miners who can distinguish between coal and diamonds and know how to extract the precious gems from the mine. The outcome depends on the mine owner's preference for either coal or diamonds.

"The gap between what can be imagined and what can be accomplished was never smaller."

What I appreciate most about being a DC Trainer is the structured approach with innovative concepts and methodologies that are consistently applied worldwide. This uniformity underscores the uniqueness and effectiveness of the training and its lasting impact.

"You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else."

As DC Certified Trainers, we are committed to bringing out the best in you because you are a precious gift from GOD to your family, friends, and organization. Embrace it and cherish it.

God bless.
