Hi Ashushetty,

As highlighted by Shalini – it is important HR fulfils the transaction processes as mentioned above.
Organizations expect more from the HR professionals to proactively propose new solutions, new procedures and new policies to keep the competitive advantage on the market.
As emphasised by Dave Ulrich HR has four roles to play :
1.Change Champion
2.Strategic partner
3.Employee Advocate
4.Admn Expert

Thank you, Shalini Ma'am,

It is truly appreciable the way in which you have posted the roles and responsibilities of HR. This will be a great guidance for new trainees as well as students who are willing to start their career in HR. In fact, this is very useful information for me as I have been wanting to gather this information for a long time.

Hi Shalini,

Could you please guide me on the statutory requirements as well? I want to know what are the various files that we need to maintain in HR. I am aware of Personnel files, Leave register, Muster roll, and Attendance register. Is there anything else that I am missing? I also want to know the difference between Leave register and Muster roll.

Besides, as an HR person, are there any other statutory requirements that we need to attend to?

Please reply.

Thanks,
Linette

I went through the roles and responsibilities of HR, but why is there no mention of the recruitment process? Is it not a vital role of an HR? If there is no good recruitment and the right candidate with the job ability fit is not obtained, no amount of induction training, salary, and development programs can retain the candidate.
