Well, I’m quite concern with the new opportunity that as come along.
Firstly, I received a call from one of the overseas company on 1st of May 2019. Hello, she said am I talking to shiv, yes that’s me, she started saying I’m calling from so and so company and we are recruiting new people, do you have any interest for job change, I said yes, alright then I will be sending you an email please forward all the requested documents so we can start the interview round in case everything goes well. The next day I got an email and requested all the necessary documents and asked me to revert back to the same email, I did it accordingly.
In the next two days I got a call from the same company and started interviewing me, asking me what’s my qualifications, how many years of experience I have and what’s the reason to travel overseas, are you married or single, the interview took about 20 min, she said thank you very much for all the information, I ll pass on to the next stage after we review your points of 1st round I said fine and thanks for reaching out, here the 1st round ends.
About 3-4 days later I got a call from HR manager, she congratulated and said this is your last round of your interview and I would like ask more about your current role, your previous experience, your biggest asset and all. I did my best and answered all the questions with no mistakes. At the end of the interview she said, thanks for your time and you’ll get an email if you have been selected, I said thank you and look forward for positivity, ok, bye.
In a week of time, I received the “letter of Intent” saying, we are happy to offer you a job at so called company based on your interview, capability and all. The LOI included the pay scale, joining date and position and rest will be included in offer letter . If you are happy with the above offer please reply as “accepted” to the given email address. I took about 35min times to read and finally sent the confirmation as, thank you for the opportunity and I would like to accept the offer and look forward for the next process.
In day or two days later, I mailed the HR manger with queries I had, asking about the visa and job description. She replied the next day saying, your reporting will be in this city and training will be for a month and during training we offer accommodations, visa and food and air ticket, rest would be mentioned in your offer letter. I replied, thanks for the information and I look forward to received the detailed offer letter.
A week passed, didn’t hear anything, I mailed to he HR again, I have not received the detailed offer letter yet and would be happy to receive at the earliest, because I need to clear up things which I need to do before I move to overseas. The next day, I got reply, saying, kindly bear our with our recruitment team, after all final consideration you will receive your offer letter, I said thanks for updating.
Now it’s been 3 weeks I haven’t heard anything from them, so deeply worried about it.
Your help for the above concern will be greatly appreciated.

Dear Shivanand,

Good to note that overall your post is not just elaborate, but you have written in sequence too. Hope other members follow this standard.

Three weeks have passed after the final round of the interview, and you are yet to receive the offer letter. The reasons for this could be many. One reason could be a genuine delay. Possibly, HR might want to seek approval from higher authorities to fill this vacancy before proceeding with the recruitment, causing things to be on hold at the higher level.

You have not mentioned the name of the country. Does it belong to the Middle East? If yes, there could be a delay due to the Eid holidays. In that case, wait for 1-2 more weeks.

Lastly, the company could be fake. However, those who are fake tend to act quickly and do not delay matters. Nevertheless, if they request any money, I recommend not paying them anything.

Thanks,

Hi Dinesh
Thank you for the reply, really means a lot.
It’s an Australian company but head quarters in US, I did the research of the firm, the firm is genuine and they are growing rapidly in the business.
And to note, they haven’t asked a single penny from me.
Forgot to mentioned, my anticipated joining is on July 29th 2019, and visa processing timing in 45-50 days if they offer me.
Regards

Hi Dinesh, First of all, I wish all the best to you, Shiv. I wish this opportunity should be genuine and you are in safe hands. I presume you would have already sent your passport to enable them to arrange a valid visa, air ticket, et al. Again, I wish everything should go through smoothly.

On the other side, I couldn't resist myself in saying this, sorry if I sound negative. Of course, the company, from what you have verified on the net, reflects genuine and hopeful of better days ahead. But however, did you try from any known source whether the emails really are from the very same firm that you verified on the website? What if, I'm sorry again, the developments are from a fake ID not of the genuine firm. Explore further to be sure. Will you consider confirming the genuineness of this interview, maybe by sending a test mail or calling a landline appearing on their company's website, and if yes, follow it up until you are confident. Why don't you check with the Australian embassy on this? I suggest don't put down your papers in the existing job until you are dead sure about the genuineness of this interview, truly by a bonafide official competent of this firm.

One more thing, don't share details of your bank account, branch, etc., as yet. Some of the international calls first ask us to fill up an online form containing our details, primarily bank account, Aadhaar number, etc. Take every step with due care so that you are not duped. I sincerely pray that you shall be comfortably placed in the new job without any hitch.

Hi Kumar,
Thanks for the reply and suggestion.
Well, as you said, I did check with the email id, I also did cross verification with the emails I received form recruitment department, HR manager, that with the online company website email ID, all looks genuine.
Passport as been sent along with my documents before the start of the interview rounds. Nevertheless I haven’t provided any bank details to them since they never asked me to provide.
I have done a deep research on the company, their email id, since when when they are into business and all.
The only thing I’m concerned about is, my joining date is 29 July which is next month. Still haven’t received detailed offer letter but half of the things they have cleared me in “letter of intent” Visa processing days is approximately 35-40 days.
Thanks
Shivanand.

Nice to see things are going through. Maybe the overseas employer might have an Indian office. If it helps, you could as well pay a visit and probably you might get first-hand information. Some instances I saw there are a few forms and bonds to be executed, if need be. Try to obtain your DL endorsed for Australian requirements. How about getting yourself relieved from the present job? How many months of notice period? Will it be smoother? I think you would have engaged in this as well. All the best for a bright future.
