Good Morning Seniors,

Today, I need guidance from all my seniors regarding choosing an MBA College through Distance Learning. I have 3 years of work experience in the recruitment industry as an HR Associate, and I want to shift to an HR generalist profile. The only problem is that all industries consider an MBA for the Generalist profile. So now, I am planning to do an MBA through distance learning.

Kindly suggest to me which college is the best and has value in the corporate world.

Regards,
Binita

Hi,

Just check it out, is it possible for Symbiosis, Pune? It will be best for my concern.

Good morning, Mr. Rajib,

Thank you so much for your prompt response. The issue at hand is that Symbiosis is providing a PGDBA (Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration) degree. Is it equivalent to an MBA? Are all industries considering the PGDBA degree or not?

Kindly, please help me with this.

Thanks & Regards,
Binita

These days, universities give more concern in terms of jobs compared to a degree. If you graduate from Symbiosis, no matter what degree you have, when you apply for a job, they all recognize Symbiosis. Even if you pursue an MBA through distance learning from regular colleges, it's the same. Your work experience will be given first preference, followed by your degree.

However, Symbiosis stands out. They also offer foreign placements. I have a few colleagues who completed their MBA from Symbiosis and are now working in the UK.

Feel free to keep emailing for further queries. You can also email me directly at my ID since I am a rare user of this site.

PGDBA is not equivalent to an MBA, and don't go for an MBA in normal colleges. Then, you will get a degree, but no value. I came to know, in India, there are more than 1000 MBA colleges. So, you need to choose one of the best for distance learning, else, no value on investments.

Keep emailing for further queries.

Good evening, Mr. Rajib,

Thank you so much for your prompt response. As you mentioned, universities are more concerned about placements rather than degrees. It is true that everyone is aware of Symbiosis and its value. However, the confusion lies in whether industries consider a PGDBA degree or not.

I also do not wish to attend a regular college for an MBA. This is why I am facing many uncertainties regarding this decision.

Thanks again,
Binita

If you go for normal colleges, your experiences will be counted. Besides these, you are not a full-time student.

So, as you are opting for distance learning, please choose a better university. It will help you secure better jobs and opportunities. You can also discuss with others as well.
