Hi,

Since you are in the textile industry, I have a CSR activity suggestion for you: ADOPT A WISH. This initiative involves asking employees to bring old clothes, jackets, bottles, and donating them to the very poor people, such as office guards, etc. Additionally, we can collect some money and distribute it among them.

Respected Seniors,

Firstly, thanks to everyone for your kind and knowledgeable advice. At our company, we have nearly 400 shop floor workers, and the rest are management and office staff. Our Director wants some innovative ideas that we can take up and perform.

We recently organized a blood donation camp and a camp that provided medicine and free medical services to children from very poor families. We achieved huge success by doing this, especially because the plant is located on the outskirts of Kolkata. Can anyone suggest other ways by which we can improve our CSR activities in a true sense?

Regards,
Alin

Dear Respected Seniors,

I am working in West Bengal, India, in a textile company. Sometimes, due to work pressure, we work until 9 PM, although our scheduled time is from 10 AM to 7 PM. As an admin and HR member of the company, can we charge overtime? Are there any amendments in the Factories Act regarding this matter?

Thanks and Regards,
Alin
