Here are a few discussions that might help you build on this knowledge. Please read the article as it reflects a day in the life of an HR Generalist.

Once you gain more knowledge, please put forth your questions related to handling escalations or any other areas that may interest you.

Dear Uma,

I understand your question; it shows your interest and confusion regarding your roles and responsibilities in your organization.

You are very lucky because it is good for you. I am not discussing HR roles and responsibilities here as all of our HR friends have already provided good information about it. Instead, I am offering some ideas to you. Whatever you do depends on your confidence. Your management can easily identify mistakes, so at the beginning of your HR profession, handling employees and employers cleverly is essential. When solving problems, be practical and avoid negativity as each member's mind tends to defend itself first. You need to understand people's behavior and tasks. Once you grasp these aspects, handling them becomes easier, though it may take time.

As a generalist, there are various ways to gather information. The way you speak and behave matters. Be sensitive in your approach as you manage both at the managerial and operational levels. I believe this information is sufficient for you.

Thanks and Regards,

Uday
