Hi,

Can you please help me out with ideas for HR games/activities for the Business Insights Team (they visit clients - small/medium business groups - to help them with building a basic organizational structure and educate them on how to go about their growth); and also for the Marketing and non-marketing teams?

I am new to the in-depth field of HR. Earlier, I was only familiar with end-to-end recruitment and the selection of employees. I would also like to know how to impress my boss with creative ideas and new innovations.

Cheers,
Renu Varma

Dear Renu,

You should check this site itself for sample HR games that can be organized in the organization to boost employee morale. Just go through it, and I am confident that you will find plenty of ideas for the cultural aspect of the program.

Hi,

You can organize events for presentations by employees on personality development and the technology they are working on. Additionally, you can encourage them to write motivational quotes on a daily basis and have others vote for their favorites. The employee receiving the maximum votes would be declared the winner.

I hope this suggestion will be helpful. I implemented a similar initiative in my company.

Dear Friend,

I was selected with ........ Group.

I was interviewed, dictated, selected by VP HR and VP (Tech.).

I was asked to join within 5/15/30 days. I chose the option to join within one month (be it 5/15/30 days). I was also told to confirm the date of joining. When I was selected after they knew all about my qualifications, etc., and salary negotiations, I asked them to give me an offer letter if any. The HR people said I would get it on my joining day.

After 5 days of the interview, I confirmed my joining date with them, but they informed me that I cannot join until they provide an offer letter in writing. They repeated the same thing twice on the phone. However, I have now discovered that they are not going to recruit me due to their company policy, even though I have already resigned from my previous employer. Please advise on how to handle this critical issue as I am in desperate need of a job. It would have been better if the HR people had rejected or neglected me, and I had not tendered my resignation with my earlier employer.

Please suggest immediately.

Thanks and Regards,

RC Saklani.

Good morning,

It's me, Priya Dharshini. I want to know the details regarding the census method. What are the tools to be used for the census method in my HR project? Is it suitable to apply every tool for the census method?

Dear Renu,

You can organize "Find your gift" for your office employees. All you need to do is get some small gifts and hide them in the office premises. Do not forget to hide a few fake gifts as well. Tell employees that there are a few hidden gifts in the office and the ones who find them will get those gifts. Wish them luck and enjoy watching them as they find real/fake gifts. It is fun; I did it in my office, and people enjoyed.

Dear Renu,

You should visit Businessballs free online learning for careers, work, management, business training, and education: find materials, articles, ideas, people, and providers for teaching, career training, self-help, ethical business education, and leadership; for personal. You will get everything on that, a very good site for professionals.

Hi, Varma,

What game do you need (motivational / recreational)? If you want to motivate your marketing people, go with the "Star of the Month Awards." If you want recreational and team-building games, please find the attachment.
