1 week before I joined a new company. I got a termination letter from my old company because of some unfortunate situation.
Now, my doubt is whether it will affect my new career. Already my background check was done. It's affected my PF

As per law termination letter issued after the employee has been relieved is not binding on the employee. But practically, in private companies, the management will take the reports of the background verification agencies as 'proof of evidence' whenever the employer is not happy with the employee. That means, so long as the relationship between the employer and the employee is okay, there will not be any issue, but as soon as the same becomes unhealthy the employer will take the report in which the previous employer has given a negative comment about you as a tool to harass you or even terminate you. The employer is not concerned about when did the termination take place, whether opportunity was given to you to be heard on the charges or not, why did the (previous) employer relieve you while a disciplinary action was pending against you, and so but he is concerned only with the "report" which has no legal value, per se. The report of a private background verification has no value and that is why people are least bothered about background verification or the feedbacks of private employers when they get a job in public sector units. Therefore, as already stated, it all depends on the employee and the employer, the employability of the employee, and the job market.
