Here is a transfer of employees from one establishment to another. There are about 200 employees. While inserting the employees' details on the EPFO site, the date of joining in the old establishment was mistakenly mentioned instead of the new establishment's date of joining. How can this mistake be rectified?

Dear Concern,

Could you please submit the joint declaration form, signed by the member and the employer, to the PF office? After the PF office reviews and makes any necessary corrections, you can proceed with the further processing. Please note that this may take some time.

Thank you very much for your suggestion. If it is for a few employees, we can do it through a joint declaration. Since it is for 200 or more, can we explore alternative options? Please suggest any ideas you may have.

Hi,

Actually, the PF office will insist on a joint declaration form only member-wise. However, as an alternative, the employer can submit an Undertaking cum declaration letter to the PF office and attach the list of the employees along with their PF numbers. Please discuss with your area PF office and check whether they will accept it and then process.
