One of my friends had joined a Pvt bank and worked there for 31 days before resigning with Early Relieving (Date edit/Modify in HR portal), which was approved by the competent authority. Now, my friend has been relieved from the system.
After his relieving from the system, his BRANCH HEAD emailed him to complete the notice period; however, he was relieved earlier. Now, after 10 days, the Branch Head emailed him again for the recovery of the notice period and to withhold his salary for 31 days. Please suggest what he should do in this situation.

Once an employee is relieved from service, he/she is no longer on the active rolls of the employer. Relieving means that the ties between the employee and the organization are cut off from that moment onwards, so it cannot be just wished away and believed that nothing has happened.
The Branch Manager can only call back the employee after setting aside the relieving order. The Branch Manager cannot set aside the Relieving Order issued by the Headquarters. Please reply to the Branch Manager with the above lines and demand immediate payment of salary.
