i am doing a project on the "Impotence of Training and Development in Insurance companies, and the impact of T&D on the performance of the staff". I am a bit lost now on how to conduct this research. If any one has any answers on how to go about this topic, do help me out

You may go about with your research using the following steps:
1.Understanding the type of people required for the job i.e. skillsets, qualification etc...
2.Is the required skills readily available in the market...if no...then how to equip the the personnel with that knowledge(imp. of trg comes in here)
3. frequency of upgrading staff on the changes in this domain also has to be understood.
3. Insurance is a highly target driven industry....you can identify the problem areas in the performance of the personnel
4.Onced this is identified you can go about addressing the problem areas...trg & development will definitely be one of the solutions....here lies the impact of T&D on staff performance.
