I have been terminated due to poor performance. In reality, they wanted me to resign, but I refused because of my commitments. They placed me on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) and eventually terminated me. My concern is whether I will be able to secure a job outside now. Will a future employer be hesitant to hire me if they discover I was terminated for poor performance during a background verification process? Kindly suggest. I am extremely worried.
