Hi,
I have worked in an organization for about 3 years and I applied for resignation due to personal reasons. However, during my notice period, I took two days of uninformed leave, and as a result, the company sent me a show-cause notice.
I am concerned that they may terminate my employment. Can you please help me with this situation?
Thank you.

Acting of availing leave without permission or intimation is certainly tantamount to gross indiscipline, and management can initiate disciplinary action against you. However, the decision to terminate employment would depend on your management's attitude towards you.
Therefore, it is advisable to discuss the reasons for your actions with your reporting officer and HR. Additionally, send an apology to the company in the form of a written explanation in response to the Show Cause Notice issued to you.

Dear Colleague,
You are serving a notice period, and during this period, you were absent for two days. Two days' absence is not so serious as to warrant termination, especially during the notice period when your intention to quit the job is known.
