If an employee's Basic Salary + DA is above 16000/-, can we remove them from PF registration (Employer is not liable to pay any PF contribution, in other words, not required to contribute to the PF fund)? Or is the employer liable to contribute to PF up to 15000/- salary, and above 15000/- is optional?

PF, once deducted from the account, has to be deducted till the time of employment irrespective of the Basic + DA amount. Yes, you can restrict the contribution upto the ceiling of Rs. 15000 /-
