Dear all,
My name is Manoj, and I work as the Manager of Human Resources in a newly established garment factory. In our factory, we undergo spot audits conducted by our clients. Therefore, I need to ensure that all records and visuals are maintained in perfect condition. I am looking for a support checklist to help me identify and correct mistakes regularly. Does anyone have a checklist or monitoring list based on daily HR/Manager-HR activities that they could share with me?
Thank you.

Dear Manoj,
Though the list can be exhaustive, I am mentioning a few points below:
If audits happen in the HR process, two points would be checked. The first is regarding statutory enactments compliance. The other involves HR activity proofs, for which records/documents like attendance records, pay sheets, minimum wage notifications, bonus/leave payment records (not applicable in your new factory), employee profiles/personal files, skill analysis records, training records, training need analysis, employee medical check-up records, notice boards for working hours, no smoking policy, child labor abolishment, PF, ESI challans, etc.
You can create a checklist for all these activities and maintain it for ready reference.
Regarding visual observations during the audit, you need to check for the implementation of company policies such as lunch timings, shop floor cleanliness, personal hygiene, awareness of employees (including labor) about company policies, operating procedures, safety measures, etc.
