Dear Rudradeva,

Your query is on a macro level whereas forums like this handle micro-level queries.

Just pull out any book on Human Resource Development and you will find a chapter on employee training. If you don't know anything about employee training, then you need to refer to those books and upgrade your knowledge.

Secondly, just search this forum and you will find that lot of material is available on employee training. A lot of seniors (including me) have given replies to the queries on this subject. You could have referred to those before raising the query.

Earlier I have given exhaustive reply on this subject. Click the following link to refer it:

Hi Rudradeva,
Send me a test e-mail (atul@oasisoflearning.com) and I shall be able to send some e-books to you to gain basic understanding of the TnD field. I can't post books here due to copyright issues.
All the best!

As you are aware training is imparted to enhance Knowledge, Skill and Attitude.

Knowledge and Skill is a Technical training that differs from Organisation to Organisation. Hence, assessments have to derived based on the training imparted. You may seek the methodology of evaluation of effectiveness of the training from the respective trainer who imparts the training. If it is a class - room training, the evaluation will be based on the scores obtained in the assessments done before and after the training.

If it is On the Job training, the evaluation will be based on the increase in output after the training.

For soft skill training, it will be based on the evaluation of the respective reporting heads. Suppose you impart a training in Communication or Negotiation, the improvement observed post training will be the crietria.

The same criteria will be applicable for behavioural training as well. However, it will be slightly complex in this case as it relates to the attitude of the employee. The halo effect of the reporting superior will play a major role in this evaluation. As an organisation, we need to recognise the fact that all employees do not have the same potential and their learning curve will differ. Hence, some employees may require retraining post evaluation.
