If you are very apprehensive about the identity card being fraudulently utilized by the person later after his leaving your establishment, it is better to give a public notice through newspapers that, on account of resignation, he is no longer associated with your establishment.

Public announcement stating that X (Name and designation) is no longer employed with Y company. Any person or company dealing with X does so at their own risk, and Y company bears no liability. Additionally, please display information about the lost Identity card on the company notice board.

Upon the employee's final relieving, obtain a declaration from them stating that they will return the card if found subsequently.
