Dear All,

I would like to develop healthy habits in our employees (i.e., go for a walk about 15 minutes after lunch, keeping nuts at reception, etc.). Can you share some brilliant ideas for the same?

Your reply will be highly appreciated.

Dear Swati,

You can share with the employees a slide of a PPT showing the purpose for these healthy habits. Additionally, you can conduct a small awareness session with a doctor (if you engage a Panel Doctor for your company) on health issues. Displaying pictures of healthy habits on notice boards is also a good idea. If you have an intranet, you can share the same on the portal, etc. Furthermore, you can include this information in the orientation program for new employees when they join.

I hope this helps in promoting a healthy workplace environment.

Thank you.

Dear Swati,

It depends on what kind of industry you work in. Please conduct an annual executive medical check-up and review the results. Once you have the results, you can plan what kind of awareness you need to create for your employees. Identify the top 10 concerns from the medical report and share this information with your employees. You can invite a doctor to speak about the health conditions of the employees post the medical check-up and plan a yearly calendar outlining what you want to do. Similarly, ask for feedback and suggestions from the employees. Your efforts will be successful when you conduct the next year's medical check-up and see signs of improvement.
