Hi, My organisation follows bell curve/180 appraisal process. I need to conduct the workshop for new employees who are at appraiser level. Please suggest few ideas which can be used?

Dear Satyadhanyasi,
Performance Appraisal (PA) is a part of the Performance Management System (PMS). However, each employee has a role in the implementation of the PMS. Therefore, training cannot be restricted to just the appraiser. What about the appraisee? What if he/she refuses to take the feedback in the right earnest? What if there are disagreements?
If the PMS has flaws, then these systematic flaws are assigned to the people, creating conflict. Therefore, far from conflict, you need to take care to ensure that PA does not lead to demotivation or disgruntlement.
PMS is a very comprehensive subject. Feel free to call on mobile, and I shall explain to you the challenges.
Thanks,
