I am Kumar Sheth from Ahmedabad, India. I have a UAE residence visa on my passport. Due to family problems, I had to return to India, but since then, I haven't returned to the UAE. Now, I am unsure if my visa has been canceled. Even though my company has informed me that my visa is already canceled and that I can apply for a visitor visa, there is no cancellation stamp in my passport. I need to know if I can apply for a visitor visa in the UAE again. I seriously need help. Kindly, please let me know how I can apply for a visitor visa if there is no cancellation stamp on my passport regarding the residence.

Hope to hear from someone as soon as possible.

Dear Kumar,

This is Rajeswari from UAE. I am currently working in UAE. Yes, you can apply for a Visit visa of UAE. There is no issue, as your last company said that your residence visa has already been cancelled. So, once your visa gets cancelled, it automatically saves the records.

Thank you.

Dear Kumar Sheth,

If six months have already passed since you exited the UAE, then your residence visa automatically gets cancelled (as per the UAE law). The next thing, and very important, is whether you completed your period of contract or not. If you did not complete your contract, your employer can impose a ban on your entry into the UAE. Therefore, I suggest you obtain the visa cancellation copy from your previous employer where it is clearly mentioned whether they have imposed any ban on you or not. You can request them to send you the scanned visa cancellation copy.

Hello,

Thank you for getting back to me with an answer. Actually, my company informed me that my visa has already been cancelled. I am confused about what I am supposed to do now. Should I apply for a visitor visa? If I apply and obtain the visa, will I face any issues at the immigration department?

Please help me.

Thank you,
Kumar Sheth.
