Hi all,
I am Aniket. I joined a company in July 2015 through their campus process. In the offer letter, which is on their company letter pad, they mention the clause that:
a. They provide a 3-month training for which we have to pay ₹24,000 in cash.
b. After the training, there will be a probation period of 6 months during which they will pay us ₹8,000 as a stipend per month.
c. Upon completion of probation, they will offer the role of a project engineer with a salary of ₹10,000 per month for 2 years.
d. If I leave within 2 years, I have to refund ₹48,000 to the company.
The current situation is that I joined in July 2015 and resigned in September 2016, but they did not accept my resignation. They just said I would not receive a relieving letter or experience certificate. However, after 6 months of my resignation, they sent a legal notice demanding ₹48,000 and also accused me of sharing company data, which I did not do. What should I do? How should I reply to them?
Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

The whole scenario of taking money by the company looks immoral and may be illegal. Since you have already received a legal notice from the company, it is essential to reply to the said notice by yourself or most probably through a lawyer without any delay.
The content of your letter of appointment/offer, other documents, legal notice is to be considered carefully before replying further.

These are the files: offer letter and mail before joining. They are not providing any training or giving me any training certificate. Also, there was a 4-month training held by them without any payment. I resigned in September 2016 citing family problems in my resignation email. However, they did not accept it; they replied to that email after two weeks stating that they are not accepting it and attempted to call me but I did not receive any such fake blame.
